Ecosystems exist within cycles and depend on them to endure. In the digitally constructed virtual world of today, cycles likewise sustain its operation. The architects of technology hold the power to initiate these cycles, creating the conditions for new systems to emerge. As participants in both natural and virtual cycles, humans cultivate unique inner perceptual systems through which they search for the value of their existence. Yet for the distant future, one question remains: will such cycles persist?

An Unseen Distance takes pathways of light as its guiding thread. Within the cocooning process, the self undergoes a stripping away under the pressures of accelerated civilization. Electronic screens divide past and future into an ambiguous boundary, where visitors, moving alone in the shadows, encounter hidden traces of light along the walls, revealing soft forms bound and struggling. On the other side, beneath the interplay of human dominance and animal emotion, lies the possibility of a new path forward.
